I’ve reblogged this before, but the above comment is what gets me. I’m American. And because of the “melting pot”, the biggest percentage of anything is a quarter polish. I have like 10 other nationalities in me. I don’t have any one nation or culture to identify with because my ancestors were from all over. And it SUCKS. Growing up I’ve heard people talk about researching their history, and participating in their culture, and going to their homeland. I don’t have that, and I never will. All I have is being American.
