TRAFFIC ADVISORY
THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2015ATTENTION DOLBY THEATRE PATRONS:
Tomorrow afternoon President Obama will be visiting Hollywood to tape an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Please be aware of the following street closures and traffic warnings:
– Highland Avenue, between the Hollywood Bowl and Sunset Boulevard, will be heavily impacted between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. It is recommended that this area be avoided if at all possible.
– The east and westbound lanes of Hollywood Boulevard, between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive, are expected to close as early as 2:00 pm and reopen by 5:45 pm. Sidewalks will not be closed, with the exception of a small area in front of the Kimmel building.
– The east and westbound lanes of Hawthorn Avenue, between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive, will also be closed from 4:25 pm – 5:45 pm.
Due to the inevitable congestion that these street closures will cause, it is recommended that you plan for additional travel time or consider an alternate mode of transportation, such as the Metro. (There is a convenient stop right at Hollywood and Highland.)
