in honor of turning 18 today, here is a list of things i realized while being young and (sort of) stupid
- if ever nervous, count to 5. before 4, you’ll be walking over
- don’t be fucking naive
- don’t be ashamed of your desires
- being genuine will get you further than anything else
- smile, act happy, though you may not feel like it. suddenly, you will
- stop saying ‘i’m done’. no, you’re not
- curse, be funny, laugh at yourself. at least you’ll get a smile somewhere
- if you get a bad vibe off of someone, leave. and vice-versa
- do not do ANYTHING to please someone else
- you’ll have ugly weeks, pretty days. perfection doesn’t exist. chill. flaws are raw
- everything does feel surreal. but you’re not alone
- don’t ever feel bad for falling in love too fast. it’s like apologizing for having too big of a heart.
