The family of an Illinois woman found dead in a Texas jail cell after she was arrested during a traffic stop is raising questions about how she died.
#Sandra Bland, 28, was found dead in Waller County, Texas, on Monday, the Chicago Tribune reports. Local authorities in Texas say Bland killed herself, but her family and friends don’t believe that is the case, and suspects that the true cause of her death is being covered up.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Bland Was in Texas to Start a New Job at Her Alma Mater
2. She Was Stopped on Friday for Improperly Signaling & Then Allegedly Assaulted a Police Officer
At one point, she can be heard saying, “You just slammed my head into the ground. Do you not even care about that?”
3. Her Death Has Been Ruled Suicide by Hanging, But Her Friend Say She Wouldn’t Have Killed Herself
4. She Often Spoke Out Against Police Brutality & Racial Injustice
We must make the case public. Cops lie, and everyone knows that they are lying, but if society turns its back on this precedent, motherfuckers will be able to go unpunished. We won’t allow this. The more people know about it, the more people talk about it, the more likely that we will achieve justice. Sandra tried to change our society with the help of social media, we have to stand up for her.

My friends, Sofia and Erica, are both transgender women who are unofficially fostering 2 transgender teens who have been rejected from their families due to their being trans. This trans family of 4 need your help. Their landlord has given them an eviction date of August 1st, because technically they aren’t allowed to have more than just the 2 of them (Sofia and Erica) living there.
Sofia has an immense amount of medical problems and has dealt with a massive amount of transphobia when trying to find a job, so right now they are living off of just 1 income right now. They need help to raise money to find a new place so they can get a new start, and the kids can have some sort of stable foundation again.
Please…these women are amazing people and are trying to give these kids a loving family and household. If you can donate ANYTHING, that would be incredible. If you can’t (i know times are tough for most of us right now), please signal boost this. -Kae
Please help me boost. I’m tagging some heavily followed trans/queer blogs I follow in hope that you all will at least boost to your followers. My friends need as much help as possible.
This is the transgender family of 4 you will help if you donate or at least signal boost. They will be evicted August 1st so they are running out of time to raise the money. Sofia and Erica are the best couple I know, and they are trying to keep the kids off of the street, since they have no other place to go. Please boost as much as possible! Take it to twitter..take it to facebook! Just boost this please!!
so for my art project we had to fake a death/murder. for mine I did someone who had jumped off a building. when I was laying down while the picture was being taken, 7 people came running up to me asking if I was okay and if I needed an ambulance etc. I’ve been suicidal for a very long time, and the thoughts of jumping off buildings and ending my life have gone through my mind a thousand times. But the fact that people actually stopped and came running over to see if I was alright made me see that people do care, strangers care. so many people looked and walked past, but these 7 people some how took these suicidal feelings away… weird huh? But the moral of this story is that people do care about you, even people who don’t know who you are.
