4th of July is the Independence Day of the United States of America. Pretty big holiday. You probably already notice this. Let me make something clear.
I don’t want to hear shit about how terrible America is from 12:00 AM July 4th 2015 — 11:59 PM July 4th 2015. NOTHING. Period.
As a multiracial (but mostly Black/Seminole/Polish) gay man with Jewish heritage, I am quite informed about the conditions of my country, and I don’t need a fucking reminder on most days, but especially not this day. You can save your “Just a reminder that this country was built on the slave trade (:” posts and anything to do with Christopher Columbus’s fuckass or how awful Jefferson and Washington really were. Seriously. I don’t want to see it.
I spend 364 days a year critiquing my own country and fighting for positive change, give me my one day to eat some goddamn apple pie and light things on fire.
I am super anti-American but fuck that on july 4th I am so pro-American like i’ll shove a firework up my ass and sing yankee doodle dandy

Obviously I’m not black but this is my good friend Shayna. Yesterday morning she did not wake up due to heart failure or an aneurism, they still aren’t quite sure. So for the black out I want to post a picture of her. Shayna died at such a young age, it makes me sick. She was the most kind hearted person I have ever met. She loved everyone. Her laugh, she had the most killer laugh. I love you Shayna. Rest in peace kiddo. I’ll see you some day.
