So I generally try to stay away from fandom drama, but buddy, pal, I’m ready to fight.

First of all,
IT IS NOT LUCY PRESTON’S JOB TO HOLD WYATT’S HAND THROUGH THIS SHIT. It’s Wyatt’s job to sort out his own feelings and make a damn decision.

All Lucy has heard for the past 2 seasons was how much Wyatt loves Jessica and how much he wants her back. And now he has her back, so of course she would step back. If Wyatt wanted to be with Lucy, he would have stepped away from Jessica and BEEN with Lucy. But he didn’t because he loves Jess (and put Jess on a pedestal) and wanted to be with his WIFE.

It was Wyatt’s choice to make, and he made it when he threw himself into his relationship with Jessica. He tried to keep his romance with Lucy alive – despite how it was hurting her – because he struggled with making a choice, but by continuously jumping into bed with Jessica, he made his choice again and again.

It is no way Lucy’s job to fight for him, to convince Wyatt to be with her instead. And that’s a fucked up message to be sending out.

If anything, Wyatt being mad that Lucy didn’t fight for him is another tally in the “Wyatt is a selfish prick that needs to grow up” column.
