And I’m not trying to be rude about it, but here are some simple points.

I’ve been a fan for more than 40 years. And not just a passing fan, we’re talking collecting anything and everything related to them. My walls in my bedroom (when I was younger living at home) were literally covered with Queen. I took in everything about them that I could. This was LONG before the internet.

Now I’m not saying any of this to “one up” anyone. But unless you’ve been in the fandom as long as I have, and you’re going to visit my blog just to tell me how what I’ve said is wrong, and that you know better (especially the early years), back that shit up with proof. This is/was (it’s out of print) the only authorized biography. Brian wrote the introduction, they all read it, and Freddie got to read most of it before he died. It’s written by Jacky Gunn, who has run the official (meaning Queen approved and supported) fan club for as long as it has existed. She knows the band personally. It’s co-writer, Jim Jenkins, is a personal friend of the band, biographer and expert about the band.

Yep, there is a lot out there that’s crap. Don’t believe everything you see or read online. Some is truth, some is garbage. I have several books written by several people and most are junk.

If you want the full authorized (by the band including Freddie) story of Queen, get your hands on this book. It’s out of print and hard to find, I’ve had mine since it first came out. Be prepared to hunt for it. I have seen copies in pretty crappy condition for around $40 on clearance. And I’ve seen them in excellent condition for well over $600.

All that being said I’m ditching this one chick who comes to my blog only to tell me I’m wrong (I know I’m not always right, and if I have any doubt, I’d say so). She is rude and argumentative, which I feel is just not acceptable. I’m not having that kind of hateful shit on my blog.
