actually the vines that are captioned (specifically the ones with what the viner is saying/the noises being made) have that text attached to them because some of the people on tumblr belonging to the deaf community have requested that people take the time to transcribe the vines. it helps because they obviously wouldn’t be able to hear them otherwise, as well as it being a six second video and takes less than a minute to do.
